twirling and sliding downhill
pounding the ground looking back
hysterically laughing at a top-hatted snowman
causing a sex scandal with an “Icy Female”
also known as, “Snowy Gal”
while claiming, “I’ll go down
in fire if I have too —
After all I’ve had multiple
failed marriages
on this “Hi-Temp Planet”
donning hot -pink goggles
at the half-way mark
whooping and hollering
while leaving a downhill legacy
ultimately reaching apogees
at the hockey rink
replete with cheerleaders
screaming on hi-def screens
maniacally waving pom-poms
having spotted opportunities
yet almost always feeling, “overheated”
shivering then suddenly sweltering
while barely noticing cellphone beeps
as “Ski-Lodge Chic” sleeping
in the nude for safe-keeping...
