ripple effects
of heaven
and hell—

“ Don’t rain
on MY parade! “
as the surest way
while saying,
“Comedy is hard,
but booking comics
is even harder!”

beginning
in the middle
with crowd pleasers
emerging
from the previous week

re-purposed
from a softball team
after ordering pizza
cracking jokes to keep
crucial “behind-the-scenes-
buddy-movies” rolling

wings and tail spread
dropping begging
to leave a treasure
since both cranes
sit on the eggs

when adults
protect their young
we call it, “Love

returning to the mother
to suckle
then snatching them up
as modeled
by a marmoset father
masing fruit
in his fingers when the young
begin to wean

tiger cubs
licking
their mother
We call it,
“Love” ...
